Galileo-Pembroke 2nd Part Exchange News Report

During February vacation last month, PHS Spanish teacher Christine Noguera took a group of her students to Spain to participate in the second part of the foreign exchange program. 00:00:00

While there, Ms. Noguera caught up with some of the students to talk about their experiences and some of the things they'll remember most about the program. 00:00:08

Well, Maite, I wanted to ask you, how do you think the bilingual program is going? 00:00:15

Well, I think it is going perfectly well. They are very enthusiastic about it. 00:00:22

It's great. It's amazing to wake them up and make them smile and see them improve their Spanish. 00:01:05

My favorite part is probably in the car when you like look out the window and like it's the most beautiful thing you've ever seen in your entire life. 00:01:20

Like in like the bus rides, like to Segovia and the mountains. It was beautiful. 00:01:29

Laura, do you think it was harder for you in the United States or for Jenna here in Spain? 00:01:35

Probably for her, because I've been to the United States before and I kind of like spoke fluent English. 00:01:42

But like she needs to keep improving and she will, I'm sure. 00:01:51

So I think she had it difficult, but she'll do it. 00:01:57

It's very different from America, but I like it. 00:02:36

a small cars and the food is very flat the houses it was bigger down here so 00:04:34

Which part of the exchange program did you prefer? Being in Spain or being in the United States? 00:04:54

I definitely liked Spain a lot because I've never been to Spain before, so I got to try a lot of 00:05:00

United States because I have never traveled before out of Europe, so it's an experience. 00:05:12

Definitely how late they eat dinner because usually like we're in bed by the time they eat 00:05:34

dinner. Especially on school nights and stuff. It's fun. It's different. I like it. 00:05:39

And what made an impression on you? What surprised you about being in the United 00:05:43

States? The bigger of the things. Like it's more, it's bigger than here. Like the 00:05:50

food, the stores, all the things. And Sarah, what is it like living with Adriana's 00:05:57

family I love them they're really nice and there his mom is asked they're 00:06:06

absolutely the parents are it's really nice and the mom is definitely much 00:06:11

better cook than my mom really good at cooking like and she ever make sure I 00:06:15

want to always make sure I'm full and then what was it like living with the 00:06:21
