Once upon a time, in a far, far away place called Verbland, all the verbs lived happily. 00:00:02
Each verb had a specific duty in this amazing land, which made them feel special and relevant. 00:00:08
For example, the verb Sleep was in charge of making the verbs rest correctly and have enough energy to work during the whole day. 00:00:15
The verb Eat was very important too, as it fed all the other verbs, keeping them healthy and strong. 00:00:22
The verb play had the function of entertaining and amusing the verbs, while the verb talk 00:00:29
was essential to make communication among the verbs possible. 00:00:35
This was crucial since all the verbs needed to communicate in order to do their tasks 00:00:39
properly. 00:00:44
Nevertheless, there were two verbs who had quite similar functions. 00:00:45
These verbs were make and do. 00:00:50
They both were used for creating, executing and carry out things. 00:00:53
They were almost synonyms. 00:00:58
Therefore, they didn't feel special or recognized in Verbaland. 00:01:00
In addition, most of the other verbs confused them. 00:01:04
Make and Do were very sad and unhappy. 00:01:08
One day, Do and Make were talking. 00:01:11
I am very downhearted, said Make. 00:01:14
No one differentiates us. 00:01:17
I feel the same, said Do. 00:01:19
I wish we could do something to change this situation. 00:01:21
Maybe we can, said Make. 00:01:25
I think I have an idea. 00:01:27
Make and Do decided to divide their functions so that they both had something special to do. 00:01:30
Make decided to take the words bed, sandwich, dinner, comment, mistake and phone call. 00:01:36
Do took the words homework, exercise, drawing, the dishes and the best. 00:01:43
Since then, they both knew exactly their functions and they did them daily. 00:01:50
Let's see a day in Make's life. 00:01:55
Meg wakes up at 7 o'clock in the morning. He makes the bed, he takes a shower and then he makes a sandwich for breakfast. 00:01:57
Meg goes to school at 8 o'clock. Every day the teacher asks the students to make a comment. 00:02:06
Sometimes they make mistakes, but it doesn't matter, because they are in the school to learn. 00:02:12
Meg comes back to his house at 2 pm. He usually makes a phone call to his friend Du to tell each other about their day. 00:02:18
Do tells Make what he has done during the day. 00:02:26
Do wakes up at a quarter past 7 a.m. 00:02:31
He starts the day doing some exercise. 00:02:34
Then he eats something and goes to school at 8 o'clock. 00:02:37
Every day, Do has to do a drawing. 00:02:41
He always tries to do his best. 00:02:43
Then he comes back to his house at 2 p.m. 00:02:45
After having lunch, he does the dishes and the housework. 00:02:48
At 5 p.m., he does his homework. 00:02:52
Then, he usually receives a phone call from his friend Make and they talk about their day before Make makes the dinner. 00:02:55
Finally, they hang up and go to sleep. 00:03:04
