First of all, what studies have you had to do to get to this job?
00:00:13
All by myself. I have a degree in physics, I have done six doctoral courses,
00:00:26
I did the first one in economics and other courses in the field.
00:00:34
And did you consider it very difficult to get there?
00:00:40
In this world, everything that costs effort is not worth anything.
00:00:45
It is difficult, everything is difficult, in no place will things roll out.
00:00:52
What happens is that one has to work.
00:00:58
And what do you like the most about what you do, about your work?
00:01:01
A job? If you liked it, it would be great.
00:01:04
Really, you work for other concepts, because you have a family,
00:01:09
you have a family of relatives and such, and the work can be more beautiful or less beautiful.
00:01:14
I have been a professor at the university. As a professor at the university it was a precious job.
00:01:18
I have worked as an executive of a company for 20 years. It gave me money.
00:01:25
I have been a teacher of professional training and for me perhaps that was the job that I liked the most,
00:01:34
especially for keeping me mentally young, for relating with young people like you and such.
00:01:43
Now I am a researcher here and it is a beautiful job, it is very beautiful because it is a very creative job
00:01:50
and it is really for what I did in the career, what happens is that I am exercising it when I have already forgotten the career.
00:01:57
And right now what are you working on?
00:02:03
Although I am a specialist in materials, my work life has specialized me in informatics.
00:02:07
In other words, my official position is the technical secretary of the fusion technology platform.
00:02:17
And then we are involved in the laboratory of large research projects,
00:02:23
the future nuclear reactor Demo, the TJT-60 and the great installation for studying fusion materials
00:02:30
that will be made in Japan, the Rokaso, which is called Izmiz.
00:02:40
I am the one who, through computer programs, controls each of the tasks that the Spanish part of those projects does,
00:02:45
projects, who does it and how much it costs. What I do is to combine tasks, resources, time.
00:02:56
Through computer programs and such.
00:03:06
And the schedule and the holidays that you have right now, are you happy with them?
00:03:12
Normally I get here at 8.15 and leave at 5.30 or 6.00. The schedule is fine, it's normal.
00:03:16
We have 22 working days and then we have a set of days for free will,
00:03:25
where I have to take the child to the doctor and they take out a crutch.
00:03:32
And for your work, do you need to know many different languages?
00:03:38
Well, in this field of physics you don't need to know many languages,
00:03:42
with one you have more than enough, it is called English.
00:03:49
It's a world in which you either speak English or you don't speak English directly.
00:03:52
There are certain things that are no longer put on the curriculum because they are supposed to be.
00:04:00
Computer science at the user level, English and driving license, that is no longer asked, that has to be.
00:04:04
And would you recommend this work to young people today who don't know what it is?
00:04:12
I recommend that you look at your work before what you are going to pay for it.
00:04:18
There are very beautiful works, there are very beautiful things.
