Today's proverb is an apple a day keeps the doctor away. This one basically means 00:00:00
that if you eat an apple every day you'll stay really healthy and it's 00:00:05
basically just reminding you to eat fruits and vegetables and eat healthy 00:00:09
and even though it's not necessarily true this is just a saying that you hear 00:00:12
very very often and there's often like jokes about it and whatnot. So the 00:00:17

verbs are get on and get along they mean the same thing one is actually american and then the other 00:00:28
one is british exactly so i'll explain the american way to say this um usually in like the 00:00:36
us and canada we say get along which means to have a good relationship with someone or to enjoy 00:00:43
someone's company so i could say that michael and i get along really well if someone were to ask us 00:00:50
about how our relationship is and i could say that for any teachers i could say that for anyone i 00:00:55
have a good relationship with no matter what that relationship is it could be a co-worker it could 00:01:01
be a friend it could be a mentor etc the other one is get on so to get on is the same thing as to get 00:01:06
along with so instead of saying that brenna and i get along well i can say that she and i get on 00:01:14
well that is just a british a more british way of saying get along so you can get on well with 00:01:22
teachers doctors people that you hang out with just like with getting on 00:01:28
means to have a good relationship with someone get on and get along 00:01:34
