This is because of the process of capillarity, in which the adhesiforce of water molecules allows water to rise up the narrow vessels of the flower.

Thanks to these processes, mineral salts that flowers and plants need can travel from the roots to the petals of the flower.

We decided to place four white clovelles in different glasses filled with colored water to see if the water went up through the vessels and the petals were colored with the same color as the water, so we can prove the hypothesis.
