Hola, good afternoon everybody. I have to say that I remember my childhood as if it had been great, and mainly because it really was. 00:00:07
I had my group of friends, I went to swimming and music lessons and extracurricular activities, and all in all I had a pretty normal life, which for me was simply incredible. 00:00:19
So picture a tiny, tiny, tiny red-headed 5 or 6 year old girl with an incredibly unmanageable and rebellious heart and a really big voice. Got it? So that was me. And if you aren't able to imagine that, you can just imagine it with an emoji we all have on our cell phones, alright? 00:00:29
So yeah, that was me. I was always smiling, talking, and laughing, except for when I wasn't smiling, or talking, or laughing. 00:00:50
I went to school, of course. Unfortunately. Nah, I'm joking. I really enjoyed going to school and becoming a freak, but I also enjoyed coming to high school. 00:01:01
Anyways, my school day is going to be quite similar. I'm going to write pretty soon at school. 00:01:11
I would be taught how to read or write and how to add or subtract. 00:01:17
From time to time I'd say I had a stomach ache, so I didn't have to go to the same classes I had at school. 00:01:23
But like every kid I guess, you know, nothing different. 00:01:29
And then of course I would have to leave school, and that was what made my days different. 00:01:32
So every time I started school, the kids in my class and I had to line up to eat. 00:01:37
And every day we made a mess of a line. 00:01:42
and when I say a mess, I mean a real mess. It looked more like a stampede of microbes trying 00:01:46
to fit through one door. So one day my teacher comes and says, from now on we're going to be 00:01:51
lining up in an alphabetical order and every day you move one place. So for example, I was the 11th 00:01:58
one, so the following day I would be the 10th one. So we reached a point when I became the second one 00:02:04
I remember leaving school that day and being the happiest person on earth because the following day 00:02:11
I was going to be the first one. So I went to my swimming classes and told all my friends about it 00:02:16
I told everyone I knew that I was going to be the first one and with hindsight now 00:02:22
I think that I even got to a point when I became annoying, well 00:02:28
more annoying 00:02:32
Yeah, so the big day came and with big problems came too and when I need problems 00:02:34
like I'm saying big problems or maybe not that big but remember I was five years old so everything 00:02:39
seemed to be a big thing to me so the thing was that I was feeling incredibly sad and not only 00:02:46
was I sad but I was also weeping like a lost soul and the reason behind that was that the following 00:02:53
day get prepared I was going to be the 25th of the line and I know as dramatic as it may sound 00:02:59
it was a big deal to me, okay? And I spent the whole day crying and thinking that life wasn't 00:03:08
worth living. So my mom came, she made me cake, and let's be honest, cakes always work. I was 00:03:12
happy again. But then I got back to being sad, and I ended up by not enjoying the day anyway. So 00:03:22
I want you to stop for a moment and think about fear. So when we think about fear, 00:03:28
we think about fear of heights or fear of spiders, and although I may also have 00:03:33
those kinds of fears, because I know I'm a coward, I think that the thing that 00:03:39
scares me the most is not staying in the present moment. So, for example, I'm 00:03:44
always looking forward to something and when I get there I don't enjoy it. So, I 00:03:49
think that with time I've improved a little bit with this, I think that I still have 00:03:54
but I now know that if I were to make a line, I would try to enjoy the moment at its max, 00:04:00
probably by politely laughing at everyone behind me. Thank you. 00:04:06
