Afghanistan is a country which has been deprived of peace for 20 years and of information for 5 years. The human, health and economic situation is so worrying that creating a media source could seem less urgent than providing vital elements for the population survival. Thanks to this film, we see that both things are complementary and inseparable. Indeed, the radio is the most accessible means of communication because a quite small portable radio set is enough to know the place and time of the next food distribution. But it is more especially about learning democracy through information. We discover how this radio funded by the European Union functions: equipment, journalists' and technicians training and so on. This film is in particular, an opportunity to follow a woman journalist, symbol of the women "liberation" who dare to go out without the veil. We follow her throughout her work and meet the auditors who listen to her voice, in different situations. They tell us what they think of this breath of liberty.
