Hello! This learning situation is called Too Old for What? 00:00:00
It deals with the topic of ageism and social bias and it is addressed at a group of C1 English students at the School of Languages. 00:00:04
This group is heterogeneous in age, profession and interest but they are all highly motivated. 00:00:11
The learning situation is inclusive as it uses scaffolding with different levels of difficulty, 00:00:16
Universal Design for Learning which is part of the methodology and adaptive text for dyslexic students. 00:00:21
As for the methodology, it follows the communicative approach and several active methodologies such as project-based learning, 00:00:27
universal design for learning, which is especially applied in the final product, or learning stations. 00:00:34
Regarding the final product, students will design a social awareness campaign in their preferred format, 00:00:39
which will be presented in front of the class at the end. 00:00:45
Finally, as for the assessment, the teacher will use a rubric to assess the student's project 00:00:49
And there will also be self-assessment and peer assessment rubrics for the students 00:00:54
so as to have a holistic assessment of the learning situation. 00:00:58
