Hello class, it's your teacher Shaila. Today we are going to be learning all about stormy weather. 00:00:00

Here we have a little boy asking, what's a storm like? We want to find out 00:00:19

what different parts of weather create a storm in the sky. So start up with the 00:00:27

think section. Look at this picture. Here we have a beach and a city. You can see 00:00:40

that above the beach there are many clouds that are dark and gray in the sky 00:00:51

and there is rain falling and it looks very very windy. This is stormy weather. 00:01:00

Stormy is a type of weather that has heavy, dark clouds, rain, wind, and lightning. 00:01:11

So let's describe a bit what these different weather parts are. 00:01:26

First, we have cloud. 00:01:33

Here are clouds in the sky. 00:01:40

They are dark and gray. 00:01:42

A cloud forms when water rises up and collects in the air above us in the sky. 00:01:45

Clouds float in the sky until they become heavy and release rain. 00:01:58

Rain falls from clouds when they release the water they have stored in the sky. 00:02:11

is also called precipitation. Next we have lightning. Lightning is a bright flash of 00:02:19

electricity made by a thunderstorm. So lightning is a flash of light. It is very dangerous 00:02:34

and can hurt people, so we need to stay inside of our house when there is stormy weather. 00:02:46

Finally, this whole picture shows stormy weather, so it's stormy. Stormy weather, once again, 00:02:56

shows clouds, rain, lightning, and also we can see wind is blowing the palm trees in the picture. 00:03:08

The weather is stormy and you can get very wet. You can catch a cold, so it is good to stay inside 00:03:25

of your house when it's stormy. We will not be doing the project on the next page, 79, 00:03:33
