Thank you, Honourable Chair. Sandra Kabango, Rwanda's International Finance Representative, said 00:00:03
the best way to change the society and its issues is to canalise the power of women in every world of life. 00:00:09
For too long, in Rwanda, discriminatory stereotypes, poverty and lack of educational skills 00:00:16
have prevented women and girls from having equal access to education in science, technology, engineering and math. 00:00:21
Currently, Rwanda has reached the 4th world position in the report of the World Economic 00:00:28
Forum that includes the elimination of the Gender Cup, which puts the country ahead of 00:00:34
world leaders in the field of equality, such as Canada or Sweden. 00:00:39
The World Bank is in Rwanda as one of the few African countries leading the work to 00:00:43
boost STEM education in tertiary and vocational schools. 00:00:48
The STEM gender parity would contribute to a greater social capital, equality and empowerment. 00:00:51
In order to achieve gender equality and equity, Rwanda proposes the following measures. 00:00:57
First, to adapt and revise its gender laws continuously. 00:01:02
Second, to support education for all and to eradicate all forms of discrimination. 00:01:05
And last, but not least, to fight against poverty and practice a positive discrimination policy in favour of women. 00:01:10
In conclusion, Rwanda believes that gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, 00:01:18
but a necessary basis for a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world. 00:01:23
Thank you for your time. 00:01:27
We will give our time to the church. 00:01:28
Thank you, darling. 00:01:30
As normal, 60% maximum. 00:01:32
This will help to solve the inequalities that exist in companies. 00:01:35
Of course, this won't be a flexible law, as it can be applied in some cases. 00:01:39
This idea, I end up applying in our solution, 00:01:45
but we think that it will be helpful for your company. 00:01:49
To attract companies, the government offers real-time training. Rwanda-based companies 00:01:53
that invest at least $20 million are exempt from income tax, and those companies that 00:02:00
export at least 50% of their products pay only 15% of taxes. 00:02:06
The President of China and Rwanda agreed in 2018 to promote bilateral cooperation with 00:02:11
the objective of generating more benefits for both. 00:02:17
China will make greater investments in Rwanda to help advance the digitalization and modernization of the African countries. 00:02:20
Yes, we have an idea. 00:02:28
Do you have any points of information on the floor? The first one. 00:02:32
How do you plan to finance this modern school? 00:02:36
Yes, we have already cooperated with other countries, such as China, that will participate here. 00:02:41
And we are also looking forward to collaborate with Sweden and Iran in the global fight. 00:02:48
In ICT fields, men have to leave their own space. 00:02:55
And if we do this, men won't have jobs. 00:03:00
So if women are introduced in ICT fields, men will also have to work in social fields because they can't also do it. 00:03:05
and this way we are leaving space for women in STEM-related fields. 00:03:13
Encourages the promotion of female representation through school books by reducing text, 00:03:32
access to editorials that do this and or give us more money. 00:03:37
Today the delegation of Saudi Arabia is here to discuss the need of raising women in STEM and ICT. 00:03:42
Having reminded Saudi vision 2030, a plan to modernize our economy and society, women take a disparate to achieve it. 00:03:49
Saudi Arabian women have been fighting to enter in STEM and ICT fields, as only 50% of them work, 00:03:57
by movements like Go4Girls, which empowers girls' professional and personal skills, 00:04:04
to end with a digital women's car. 00:04:10
Another movement is the Simania program, which is an educational program in schools 00:04:12
that is important in education like Iran's health. 00:04:17
Saudi Arabia has enrolled in Qatar an NGO which operates in the Arab world 00:04:20
whose goal is to train, share knowledge, and create partnerships to women. 00:04:26
Therefore, Saudi Arabia proposes the following two. 00:04:31
One, encourage the creation of a common fund to support women with disabilities. 00:04:34
And two, establish an online platform or application so women can share their work and employment globally. 00:04:40
In conclusion, Saudi women have changed the society, some lost and families do, and we have been urged to have a same career. 00:04:49
Unfortunately, I don't exist in Instagram, as Argentina and Oman say, but we must work together to achieve a more equitable future. 00:04:57
