MC Radio Station, Small Voices, Big Echoes! 00:00:00
Welcome to our school radio special for Eat, Win and Day. 00:00:11
Today we're celebrating all the amazing projects connecting schools across Europe. 00:00:14
Plus, we're currently working on three international projects with students and teachers from different countries. 00:00:20
So today we're talking with two inspiring teachers. 00:00:26
First, we are joined by Sira from Turkey. Hi Sira, thanks for being here. 00:00:29
Hello, I am glad to be here too. 00:00:35
You have worked on many e-training projects. Which one has been your favorite so far? 00:00:38
Hattie Heroes is my favorite because I am the creator of the project and there are five different countries. 00:00:43
The more different countries, the more different cultures I and my students learn about. 00:00:53
We enjoy meeting new people and gaining knowledge about different cultures. 00:00:59
And in Healthy Heroes project, we have strong partner communication. 00:01:05
You also received the European Quality Label. Congratulations! What do you think makes our project really successful? 00:01:12
Thank you. I worked hard and I got levels. 00:01:19
Yes. Successful e-training projects are built on the foundation of meaningful collaboration, pedagogical innovation and student engagement. 00:01:25
First, success comes from true collaboration. 00:01:39
The project should require input from all partners to be complete. 00:01:45
If one school doesn't contribute, the product miss a piece. 00:01:51
And the most important one, when students feel they have real audience in another country, 00:01:57
their motivation spikes. 00:02:04
students motivations are very important what do you enjoy most about working with students from 00:02:07
different countries it's a good question thank you what i enjoy most is seeing my students realize 00:02:16
that the world is much bigger than our classroom that everyone is connected through shared values 00:02:26
and creativity. It's the journey of discovery for both my students and myself as an educator. 00:02:34
And finally, what advice would you give to teachers starting their first e-training project? 00:02:43
Yes, starting your first e-training project is an exciting milestone. 00:02:49
It's a journey of a professional growth, but the key to a stress-free start is to keep 00:02:55
it manageable. 00:03:03
Start small and focused. 00:03:06
Keep the timeline short, focus on one or two high-quality collaborative tasks. 00:03:10
Plan the tasks and activities beforehand. 00:03:17
on the process not just the products and document everything as you go 00:03:22
finding experiment mentors and willing partners are very helpful and the most important one 00:03:30
prioritize your students online safety and make your students involve the project 00:03:41
and enjoy the project thank you very much for your advice 00:03:49
