Nervous systems 00:00:01
The nervous systems carry out the function of sensitivity, 00:00:10
what means it receives and interprets information from the environment. 00:00:14
It gives orders for our body to respond to stimuli. 00:00:19
It controls and coordinates all the organs and systems in our body. 00:00:23
How it works? 00:00:31
The receptors of our senses capture the stimulus. 00:00:33
The information travels through the nerves till it reaches the brain. 00:00:37
The brain receives and interprets the information and sees how to respond. 00:00:41
The nerves carry responses from the brain to the muscles. 00:00:47
Our body follows the brain instructions. 00:00:51
Parts of the nervous system. 00:00:55
Central nervous system, where we find the brain and the spinal cord. 00:00:59
Peripheral nervous system, where we find the nerves that carry all the information from the senses to the brain and others from the brain to the body. 00:01:04
Locomotor system. It is formed by the skeletal system and the muscular system. 00:01:24
The skeletal system is a structure that gives our body its shape and it consists of bones and joints, that are where the bones meet. 00:01:30
Ligaments are the organs that hold the bones together in the joints. 00:01:40
The muscles are organs which allow us to move when they change their state and larynx. 00:01:45
We have internal muscles like the heart and the diaphragm, and the skeletal muscles that make the bones move. 00:01:54
Muscles are attached to bones by tendons. 00:02:01
Our body has 206 bones. 00:02:06
Let's name some of the most important ones. 00:02:09
This is the cranium, the clavicle, the ribs, the femur, the tibia, and the fibula. 00:02:12
Our bones meeting the joints that are the shoulder, the elbow, the wrist, and the ankle, and the hip. 00:02:21
Our body has 639 muscles. Let's name the most well-known. 00:02:33
The quadriceps, the quads, the biceps, and that's all. 00:02:41
The digestive system. The digestive system is responsible for the digestive process of the food in the lotions that the body can use. 00:02:49
How it works? It begins in the mouth. We chew the food and it mixes it with saliva. We swallow it and it goes to the fanatics. 00:03:07
It runs down the esophagus. 00:03:16
It reaches the stomach and mixes with the gastric juices. 00:03:28
Then it travels to the small intestine, where it mixes with the bile and the pancreatic juice. 00:03:34
In the small intestine, the nutrients are absorbed. 00:03:40
Next, in the large intestine the water is absorbed, defacing the body through the anus. 00:03:44
Respiration is the process to obtain oxygen that our body needs and to expel carbon dioxide our body produces. 00:03:59
The air enters through the nose, goes to the larynx, travels down the trachea and goes into the bronchioles. 00:04:09
The air runs through the bronchiole and finishes in the air sacs. 00:04:19
And then the gases change and take place in the air sacs. 00:04:24
And then the carbon dioxide runs up and goes from the nose or from the mouth. 00:04:36
