Hello class! Today we are going to learn all about oceans and continents.
00:00:01
An ocean is a large major body of water. The earth has five oceans.
00:00:09
Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Arctic Ocean, Indian Ocean, and Southern Ocean.
00:00:18
Most of the water on our planet is in the oceans.
00:00:30
Next, we have continents.
00:00:39
A continent is one of Earth's large land masses.
00:00:42
The Earth has seven continents.
00:00:48
You can see on the map that we have here missing the seven continents.
00:00:51
So we are going to work together and fill in the puzzle with each missing continent
00:00:58
and put it in its correct place from above.
00:01:05
First, we have North America.
00:01:11
Tell me, which number is where North America should go on the map?
00:01:18
Excellent. North America goes in spot number one.
00:01:27
Next we have Europe. Please look at the map and tell me which number corresponds with where
00:01:33
Europe should go. Perfect. Europe is in spot number four. Next we have South America.
00:01:49
South America belongs beneath North America. Next we have
00:02:06
Africa. Where should Africa go? Perfect. Africa belongs in spot number three. We are halfway
00:02:19
finished. Next we have Asia. Where does the continent Asia go on the map? What number?
00:02:37
Yes, Asia belongs in spot number five. Next we have the continent of Australia. Does Australia
00:02:50
belong in spot number six or number seven? Yes, Australia goes into spot number six.
00:03:07
And finally, we have Antarctica. Antarctica goes at the very bottom of the globe. Now
00:03:21
Now we will learn all about the Equator.
00:03:37
The Equator is an imaginary line that goes around Earth.
00:03:42
It divides the Earth into two hemispheres, North Hemisphere and South Hemisphere, Northern
00:03:49
Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere.
00:03:58
So the equator will be this line that divides across the globe.
00:04:03
Now I want you to tell me what continent is Spain in?
00:04:23
Very good.
00:04:32
Spain is in Europe and Spain is right here on our map.
00:04:33
Very close to Africa.
00:04:42
So thank you for tuning in and learning all about oceans and continents with me.
00:04:46
You did a good job and I will see you next time, okay?
00:04:52
Thank you for learning with me.
00:04:57
Bye-bye.
