Hello, I'm Daniela and I'm Anna and we are going to talk about the traditional game called Pachis. 00:00:19
What is it? It is a Spanish board game, not only is it very popular in Spain but also in other European countries and in Morocco. 00:00:25
It is a game for 2 to 6 players, depends on the version of Pachis. 00:00:33
The origin. This game was inspired in the horse race. It was invented by Akbar the Great who conquered India in the 16th century. 00:00:39
For this reason, some old parties games have horse shaped tips. 00:00:49
Now, talking about the game rules, there are a few of them. 00:00:54
The objective is to get all the pieces to the goal after going around the whole board. 00:00:58
The board description, it is divided into squares with safe paths and special turns. 00:01:04
The dice decides how far you advance, and to decide the player's turn, they all roll the dice and from the turns go from the highest to the lowest. 00:01:09
Then, some special rules are that if there are two chips of the same color in a square, it is called a block, and the other players are not able to go through it. 00:01:22
If another player passes by the place you are in, it is called to hit you. 00:01:30
And that chip of yours starts from the beginning and the player that hit you advances 20 squares. 00:01:35
When one of your chips finishes the whole board, you advance 10 squares. 00:01:41
The benefits of the game. 00:01:47
It improves the development of planning and strategic skills. 00:01:50
It encores social interaction and you can have fun with your family, 00:01:56
place mates, friends, even with people of the internet 00:02:01
because it is an online free app in the app store. 00:02:05
And it contributes to learning patience and managing frustration 00:02:09
and it helps you dealing with bad moods. 00:02:15
