Ancient history is the period of history that comes after prehistory. It started 3,500 years 00:00:00
before Christ, when writing was invented in Mesopotamia. During ancient history different 00:00:11
groups of people lived in the Iberian Peninsula. The Iberians were one of these groups. They 00:00:17
settled in the south and east of the peninsula. They were organizing tribes with a chief. They 00:00:23
They built their towns at the top of hills, with walls for protection. 00:00:29
They were hill forts. 00:00:34
Their houses were rectangular in shape. 00:00:36
Iberians were farmers, craftsmen, warriors, and traders. 00:00:39
They used their own money for trading, and they also developed their own writing. 00:00:44
At that time, there was another group of people in the Iberian Peninsula, the Celts. 00:00:50
They lived in the north, west, and center of it. 00:00:56
They were organized in tribes, and their towns had walls too. 00:01:00
They were called forts. 00:01:05
Their houses were in rectangular but circular in shape. 00:01:07
Celts were farmers and very good at working with iron and bronze. 00:01:10
But they stood out because they were very good warriors. 00:01:15
Unlike the Iberians, Celts didn't have money and didn't know how to write. 00:01:19
