Good morning! Today we have English and we're gonna read a story. Ready? So everybody quiet, 00:00:00
open your ears, open your eyes and see your map. Let's read this story. The Mix-Up Chameleon 00:00:07
written by Eric Coe. See what happens. On a shiny green leaf sat a small green charm chameleon. It 00:00:16
moved onto a brown tree and turned brownish. Then it rested on a red flower and turned reddish. 00:00:29
When the chameleon moved slowly across the yellow sand it turned yellowish. You could hardly see it. 00:00:40
When the chameleon was warm and had something to eat it turned sparkling green like this. But 00:00:47
when it was cold and hungry it turned grey and dull. When the chameleon was hungry it sat still 00:01:00
and waited. Only its eyes moved up, down and sideways until it spotted a fly. Then the chameleon's 00:01:12
long and sticky tongue showed out and caught the fly. Look at his tongue. Wow! That was its life. 00:01:24
It was not very exciting but one day the chameleon saw a zoo. It had never seen so many beautiful 00:01:34
animals. Look. The chameleon thought, how small I am, how slow, how weak. I wish I could be big and 00:01:48
white like a polar bear. And the chameleon's wish came true. But was it happy? Nope. 00:02:05
I wish I could be handsome like a flamingo. Lick and hiccup the flamingo's leg and wings. 00:02:20
I wish I could be smart like a fox and he got the fox tail. I wish I could swim like a fish. 00:02:30
I wish I could run like a deer. I wish I could see things far away like a giraffe. 00:02:47
I wish I could hide in a shell like a turtle. I wish I could be strong like an elephant. 00:03:06

I wish I could be like people. Just then a fly flew by. The chameleon was very very hungry. 00:03:36
