Easter 2020. Are you ready to cook? Here goes the recipe for Torrijas. You will
00:00:00
need a frying pan, a bowl, a plate, a saucepan, a big spoon and finally a fork.
00:00:12
As ingredients you will need milk, bread, honey, two eggs, olive oil or sunflower seed oil and
00:00:24
finally cinnamon. Take your saucepan, your cinnamon and your milk. Start pouring milk
00:00:40
into the saucepan and start heating that milk just warm it up you will need
00:00:59
between half a liter and maybe one liter of milk then put one or maybe two
00:01:06
teaspoons of cinnamon into the milk
00:01:16
after that start slicing the bread the bread slices can be as thick as you want
00:01:25
to, but please, please, please be very careful not to cut yourself. Then take those slices
00:01:35
of bread and put them in the bowl. Mix the milk and the cinnamon well. Remember, it should
00:01:42
be warm. And once this is done, start pouring the milk and the cinnamon on top of the bread.
00:01:51
look at the photographs the milk should really cover all the bread really really well once this
00:01:59
is done take the bread and put it in the fridge for a little while to cool down after that take
00:02:09
your oil and put it in the frying pan now be generous with the oil put quite a bit of oil
00:02:18
into that frying pan. After that crack and beat two eggs. Take the bread and
00:02:24
And baste it on both sides until it's really, really, really covered in egg.
00:02:45
Do this with all of them.
00:02:54
And once that's done, start putting them in the frying pan.
00:02:56
Now, very, very important, the oil must be hot, really hot.
00:03:01
I like to turn my oil to a nine.
00:03:07
So the oil, as I say, is really hot.
00:03:13
and that will make my torrijas be toasted as in the photograph now once you get this color on one
00:03:15
side turn them over to the other side and toast them on the other side once they're toasted on
00:03:25
both sides take them over to a plate but remember to put a piece of paper on the plate so they suck
00:03:33
cup the paper sucks up the oil and that doesn't go to your tummy. Now take your bowl and start
00:03:42
pouring the honey into this bowl. Now I love honey so be generous with your honey. Put some more
00:03:50
more and more honey on that bowl in that bowl and then the only thing you have to do is put
00:03:59
the torrijas into that bowl on top of the honey. Give it a bit more oil, more honey.
00:04:09
And boys and girls, here you are, your ista torrijas are ready.
