Hello everyone! How are you today? I hope that you are very happy and you are 00:00:00
being very good with mommy and daddy. Today I am going to read you a book 00:00:07
which is called Room on the Broom. It's one of my favourites so we are going to 00:00:12
see a story about a witch and different animals. Are you ready to start? Yes? 00:00:18
The witch had a cat and a very tall hat, a long ginger hair which she wore in a plant. 00:00:29
How the cat purred and how the witch grinned as they sat on the broomstick and flew through 00:00:38
the wind. 00:00:46
But how the witch wailed and how the cat spat when the wind blew so wildly it blew off the 00:00:49
hat. 00:00:57
Down! cried the witch, and they flew to the crown. They searched for the hat, but no hat could be found. 00:00:58
Then, out of the bushes, on thundering pools, there bounded a dog with the hat in his jaws. 00:01:18
He dropped it politely, then eagerly said, as the witch pulled the hat firmly down on her head, 00:01:28
I am a dog, as keen as can be. Is there room at the broom for a dog like me? 00:01:36
Yes! cried the witch, and the dog clambered on. 00:01:43
The witch tapped the broomstick, and whoosh! they were gone. 00:01:50
Over the fields and the forest they flew. The dog waked his tail, and stormy wind blew. 00:02:02
The witch laughed aloud and held on to her hat. 00:02:14
But away blew the bow from her long ginger plait, 00:02:21
cried the witch, and they flew to the ground. 00:02:28
They searched for the bow, but no bow could be found. 00:02:39
Then, out from a tree with an ear-splitting streak, 00:02:44
there flopped a green bird with a bow in her beak. 00:02:49
her beak. She dropped it politely and bent her head low, then said, as the witch tied 00:02:53
her plate in a bow, I am a bird as green as can be. Is there room on the broom for a bird 00:03:01
like me? Yes, cried the witch. So the bird fluttered on. The witch tapped the broomstick 00:03:09
and whoosh they were gone over the reeds and the rivers they flew the birds shriek with glee and stormy wind blew 00:03:26
they shot through sky to the back of beyond the witch clutched her bow but let go of her wand 00:03:43
Down, cried the witch, and they flew to the ground. They searched for the wand, but no wand could be found. 00:04:02
Then, all of the sudden, from out of a pond, left a dripping wet frog with a dripping wet wand. He dropped it politely, then said with a croak, as the witch tried the wand, on the fall of her croak. 00:04:14
I'm a frog, as clean as can be. Is there room on the broom for a frog like me? 00:04:31
Mmm, yes, said the witch. So the frog bounded on. 00:04:38
The witch tapped the broomstick and whoosh, they were gone. 00:04:44
Over the moors and the mountains they flew. The frog jumped for joy. 00:04:55
I am a dragon, as mean as can be, and I'm planning to have witch and chips for 00:05:01
Oh no! cried the witch, flying higher and higher. The dragon flew after her, breathing of fire. Help! cried the witch, flying down to the ground. She looked all around, but no help could be found. 00:05:38
The dragon drew nearer and nearer, and licking his lips, said, 00:05:57
Maybe this one, I'll have which without chips. 00:06:05
But just as he planned to begin his feast, from out of a ditch rose a horrible beast. 00:06:14
It was tall, dark, and sticky. It was feathered and furred. 00:06:22
It had four frightful heads. It has wings like a bird. 00:06:26
and its terrible voice when it started to speak was a jowl and a growl and a croak and a shriek it dripped and it squelched and it threw from the ditch and it says to the dragon bust off that's my witch 00:06:31
Then the dragon flew back and he started to shake. I'm sorry, he spluttered, I've made a mistake. It's nice to have met you, but now I must fly. 00:06:53
And he spread out his wings and was off to the sky. 00:07:07
Then down flew the bird and down jumped the frog. 00:07:14
Down climbed the cat and, phew, said the dog, 00:07:20
Oh, thank you, oh, thank you, the Grateful Witch cried 00:07:24
with all joy and peace in the dragon's inside. 00:07:29
Then she filled up her cauldron and said with a grin, 00:07:34
Find something everyone, throw something in. 00:07:41
So the frog found a lily, the cat found a cone, 00:07:44
the bird found a twig and the dog found a bone. 00:07:49
They threw the limb on and the witch stirred them well 00:07:54
and while she was stirring she marked her spell. 00:07:58
Igity, zigity, zagity, zoom! Then out rose a truly magnificent room with seats for the witch and the cat and the dog, a nest for the bird and a shower for the frog. 00:08:02
Yes, cried the witch, and they all clung on. 00:08:27
The witch tapped the broomstick and whoosh, they were gone. 00:08:31
And that is the end of the story. 00:08:40
I hope you really enjoyed it and you liked it very much. 00:08:45
Bye bye everyone. 00:08:48
I miss you a lot. 00:08:49
Mwah, mwah, mwah. 00:08:50
