The Worry Box 00:00:00
Hike up on his sinking spot, Morrie Bear looked out across the valley. 00:00:02
Here you are, called his sister. 00:00:09
Millie, it's time for lunch. I'm not hungry, Morrie said. 00:00:12
You're always hungry, giggled Millie. 00:00:18
Come on, or we will be late meeting Alfie at the waterfall. 00:00:21
I don't want to go, snuffled Morrie. 00:00:26
What if the water falls too loud? What if it's so big that I get whisked away? 00:00:29
Millie squeezed Mowry tight. 00:00:38
Waterfalls are big and loud, she said, but they are also beautiful. 00:00:40
I won't get whisked away, asked Mowry. 00:00:45
No, not with me to hold your paw, said Millie firmly. 00:00:48
Mowry thought for a moment, then moved. 00:00:54
Sharing worries always makes them feel smaller. 00:00:57
Millie comes forward as they head for home. 00:01:00
When the very last sandwich was eaten, Millie had a secret to share. 00:01:03
This is my worry box, she smiled. 00:01:10
When something's worrying me, I write it down, then I put it inside. 00:01:13
Does it make your worries disappear? asked Millie. 00:01:18
Not quite, said Millie, but when my worries are in the box, they don't stop me having fun. 00:01:22
Let's make one for you. 00:01:31
Worries won't stop me, said Murray, popping his worry in the box and shutting the lid like that. 00:01:33
Ready? Millie asked. Ready, nodded Murray. 00:01:40
Skipping along the riverbank, the birds spot dragonflies dancing above their heads. 00:01:45
but soon the river raced faster and there was a roar of water ahead nearly there sat milly weak marie squeaked as they round they bent 00:01:52
Dero spalking in the sunlight was a rumbling, tumbling waterfall. 00:02:09
Wow, gasped Moray, whipping the spray from his nose. 00:02:13
Just then, there was a shout from the rocks. 00:02:18
It's Alfie, military. 00:02:21
Moray took a deep breath. 00:02:23
Let's go and play, he decided. 00:02:25
That's when Dero got sploshed. 00:02:27
The friends were bashing, counting the fish when they heard a voice calling them. 00:02:30
Do who? cried the rabbit, Morrie that had never met before 00:02:36
It's my cousin, Lara, being mouthy 00:02:41
Suddenly, Morrie fell very sad 00:02:44
Lara scrounged to the top of the rocks 00:02:46
I want to go even higher 00:02:51
She announced looking at an oak tree growing on the bank 00:02:54
Let's climb to the top of that 00:03:02
The friends raced off, all except Mary, who was beginning to worry. 00:03:04
Oh dear, he sniffed. 00:03:11
Morrie wanted to join, but his tummy felt very tight. 00:03:13
Then he remembered. 00:03:17
My box, he said quickly. 00:03:19
He scraped down his socks. 00:03:21
I'm worried that Lara won't like me. 00:03:23
I'm worried that I'm not a very good climber. 00:03:25
I'm worried that everyone will laugh at me. 00:03:27
Worries won't stop me, he smiled. 00:03:31
closing the box and trotting off the truth. 00:03:33
Up, up, up, Mary climbed. 00:03:38
Come higher, called Lara. 00:03:41
You can't see the sea, but Mary had spotted a hole in the trunk. 00:03:42
There inside was a net of fluffy owl cheeks. 00:03:49
Look what I found, Millie, he whispered. 00:03:52
All afternoon long, the friends played until it was time to go. 00:03:56
Oh, bother, Millie huffed. I love my backpack. 00:04:00
Everyone hunted high and low till they found the backpack hidden in the weeds. 00:04:04
Just in time, said Alfie. The sun's starting to set. 00:04:12
Hurry, Lara squeaked in panic. We have to get home. 00:04:16
Why? What's wrong? asked Alfie. 00:04:21
Lara's whiskers quivered. We won't see where we're going. 00:04:24
We will be late for bedtime and I don't like the dark 00:04:28
Marie holds Lara's bow 00:04:33
Sharing worries makes them feel smaller and less scary, he told her 00:04:37
See, I keep mine in a special box 00:04:42
He gave her a scrap of paper and a pencil 00:04:46
You can put yours in too, Marie smiled 00:04:50
Lara stayed by Morrie's side as they walked through the wood. 00:04:54
Follow the fireflies, Morrie said. 00:04:59
They are like nightlights to show us the path. 00:05:02
Eek! Lara squeaked and her own hood overheard. 00:05:05
It's okay, whispered Morrie. 00:05:11
It's Mr. Old saying goodnight. 00:05:14
Across the treetops, the friends heard a hood in the pond. 00:05:18
soon they reached elfy's house just in time for bed elfy beamed good night everyone said lara and thank you mary for being such a good friend 00:05:23
Hike up on his sinking spot, Morrie and Millie look out across the valley. 00:05:36
Thanks for showing me the waterfall, said Morrie. 00:05:43
It wasn't too big or too loud, asked Millie. 00:05:46
It was both, giggled Morrie, but it was also great fun. 00:05:50
I can't wait until we go again. 00:05:55
The End 00:06:00
