Here, at IES Las Rosas I, we do a lot to look after the environment and promote an eco-friendly way of life. 00:00:02
We bring bottle caps into school to recycle them and in exchange we can earn eco-points to buy all types of articles in Las Rosas Village. 00:00:14
Two or three people with the most eco-points at the end of the school year have the opportunity to win things like an iPad or a mobile phone or a bicycle, etc. 00:00:27
Now I collect all batteries and bottle caps and I bring it to the school to be recycled. 00:00:37
Also in our school you can put your old phones that are no longer working in a cylinder when they come new recycled. 00:00:50
We can bring pens that no longer work as well to gain leg points. 00:00:58
Along with this we have three boxes in each classroom where we can separate papers from trash and plastic. 00:01:03

At the toilet, I don't use a lot of paper towels when I dry my hands after washing them. 00:01:16

Lastly, when I take a shower, I turn off the water when I'm applying shampoo, conditioner or shower gel in order to save water. 00:02:09
Yeah, and I use a useful water bottle when I go out to make sure not to generate waste with plastic bottles. 00:02:21
I avoid using aerosol sprays to preserve the ocean life. 00:02:33
I always turn off the tap when I'm brushing my teeth if I don't need water. Everybody should do this. 00:02:41
What I do to save energy is to walk to school every day and anywhere else that I can, so as to reduce pollution from cars and buses. 00:02:52
Also, when possible, I open the windows to use natural light instead of turning on the lights. 00:03:03
