Hello, my name is Leire and today I'm going to show you a book about history from the Big Bang until the present days. 00:00:04
The Big Bang was a very, very big explosion that happened millions, millions of years ago. 00:00:18
And that explosion created all the universe. As you can see, here is our planet, the planet Earth. 00:00:24
and prehistory started with the first human beings, but before prehistory there was a long, long, long period of time 00:00:31
where dinosaurs lived and some types of sea animals, such as jellies. 00:00:41
As I was telling you, prehistory started with the first human beings and ended with the invention of writing here. 00:00:49
And prehistory is divided in some periods, but today I am only going to say two of them, 00:01:02
the Paleolithic period and the Neolithic period. 00:01:11
So in the Paleolithic period, Paleolithic people were nomadic and this means they didn't 00:01:15
live permanently in one place, they moved in groups from one place to another looking 00:01:22
for food. 00:01:28
Paleolithic people also hunted and fished to get food and they also discovered how to make fire so they could cook easily the food. 00:01:29
Paleolithic people spent the night in caves or huts and the huts were made of tree branches and animal skins. 00:01:40
They also had clothes made of animal skins. 00:01:50
And they also made simple tools such as spears, that it was a very typical one, that they were made of wood here. As you can see here is a spear made of wood. 00:01:55
And then comes the Neolithic period and in the Neolithic period started with the beginning 00:02:10
of agriculture and Neolithic people became sedentary, this means they lived permanently 00:02:19
in one place, not like in the Paleolithic, they lived permanently in one place and Neolithic 00:02:28
people cultivated crops and raised animals. As you can see here there is a sheep and here 00:02:36
there is a man cultivating the crops. And in the Neolithic period also some people worked 00:02:42
as artisans and others as farmers. And in this time people started to exchange products, 00:02:52
example I give you a can clean and you give me a glass of milk like that and that was the 00:02:59
beginning of trade and there are some more periods but I told you that I am 00:03:07
only going to explain those two so prehistory ended with the invention of 00:03:13
writing here and the invention of writing started with the ancient world 00:03:18
and the ancient world started with the invention of writing and during this 00:03:23
period Jesucrist was born right here in the year 0 as you can see here Jesucrist 00:03:29
was born Jesucrist and also during this period people started to make sculptures 00:03:37
and some pyramids here and the ancient world ended when the fall of the Roman 00:03:46
empire about here and then starts the middle ages that is all of this the middle ages because the 00:03:55
middle ages started with the fall of the roman empire and ended when columbus discovered america 00:04:05
the three ships and here is america he discovered america and it was a short period but i mean so 00:04:12
like prehistory was the longest have you imagine that history has the paleolithic period the 00:04:22
neolithic period and also some more and this is only this but prehistory is the longest 00:04:30
but it was a big period for me and then comes the modern age and in the modern age started 00:04:36
And when Columbus discovered America, you know, here, as I have shown you here, and 00:04:44
ended when the French Revolution happened, here. 00:04:56
And then comes the contemporary age, that is this, and we know where it starts, that 00:05:03
it starts with the French Revolution, but we don't know where it ends because this continues 00:05:11
at this moment and that's it basically 00:05:16
