His brother Ferdinand became emperor of Austrian and German territories. 00:00:55
His son Philip received the rest of the empire, Hispanic kingdoms, and the dancing Americas, as Philip II of Spain. 00:01:02

Hernán Cortés conquered the Acre Empire, Mexico, and Francisco Pizarro conquered the Inca Empire, Peru. 00:01:18

Catalonia and Portugal also fought against Philip IV and Portugal became independent. 00:04:06
The dynasty came to an end in 1700 after Charles II died without descendants. 00:04:14
