But today, I'm here to bring you some grammar from Unit 8. 00:00:10
So let's review some grammar or the vocabulary that we have from this unit. 00:00:19
We have skateboard or skateboarding. 00:00:24
Play table tennis or playing table tennis. 00:00:30
sail or sailing, ice skate or ice skating, play chess or playing chess, 00:00:36
skip or skipping, cycle or cycling, surf or surfing, do judo or doing judo, 00:00:49
play basketball or playing basketball. So, if we ask the question, are they surfing? 00:01:09
let's look at the picture and think, yes, they are, or no, they aren't. Yes, they are. 00:01:22
Are they skipping? So let's think to ourselves. Yes, they are, or no, they aren't. Yes, they are. 00:01:41
Are they playing chess? No, they aren't. Are they skateboarding? Yes, they are. Are they sailing? No, they aren't. 00:02:05
So, we can also say, instead of having to say they are, we can shorten it to they are surfing. They're surfing. This is just another way of saying they are, but shortening it. 00:03:03
So, are they surfing? We can say, they're surfing. 00:03:24
Or, if they weren't, we would say, they aren't surfing. 00:03:29

If they are, we can say, they're playing table tennis. 00:03:39
If they aren't, we'd say, they aren't playing table tennis. 00:03:44
In this case, they're playing table tennis. 00:03:53
Are they doing judo? They aren't doing judo. Are they playing basketball? They're playing 00:03:57
basketball. Are they cycling? They aren't cycling. So here we have different things on what they are 00:04:34
doing. So in this one, we have someone walking down the stairs or going down the stairs. 00:04:54
We have someone going over the bridge, someone walking along the road, or someone walking through the woods. 00:05:01
So, what are they doing? 00:05:15
They are skateboarding along the road. 00:05:21
What are they doing in this picture? 00:05:27
They are cycling over the bridge. 00:05:33
What are they doing in this picture? 00:05:36
