The latest earthquake, a 6.3 trembler on March 6 in the western part of Sumatra, 00:00:07
with aftershocks felt as far away as Singapore. 00:00:13
Here in the provincial capital Padang, panic and fears of a tsunami. 00:00:16
Hospitals like this one were overwhelmed and less than sturdy. 00:00:21

The most urgent needs for supplies are in the region of Solok. 00:00:32
Our assessment team is already on the ground, 00:00:35
and based on the discussion with the local government officials, 00:00:39
we have sent our emergency supplies from our warehouse in Medan, north Sumatra. 00:00:43
UNICEF is sending water and sanitation kits, 00:00:48
also personnel to address the needs of children traumatized by the disaster 00:00:51
or separated from their parents. 00:00:55
Fifteen schools were damaged in the quake. 00:00:57
Tent schools will take their place for now. 00:00:59
Meanwhile, another community sets itself to cleaning up and rebuilding 00:01:02
in a country grown weary of the task. 00:01:06
