Hi there, my name is Anna Strenk. I am an auxiliar here at La Ponto School. 00:00:00
I'm here today with one of our students, Cesar. He's in fifth grade, and we are going to talk about his experience today. 00:00:05

So, when did you start at La Ponto School? 00:00:15
I started going to La Ponto School when I was three years old. 00:00:18
Three years old, wow. So it's been a little while. 00:00:23
And why did your parents choose La Ponto? 00:00:25
My parents chose Lepanto school because it was very near to our house and because the 00:00:28
level of English was very high. 00:00:38
Yeah, it is very high. 00:00:41
And we have an after school program here at Lepanto. 00:00:43
Many of our students are part of it, including Cesar. 00:00:47
So tell me a little bit about that. 00:00:49
So I started in the school program with five years and I practice karate and basketball. 00:00:52
And you do basketball this year as well, right? 00:01:03
Yes. 00:01:05
What do you like about basketball now that you're in fifth grade? 00:01:06
I like that I pass a level and I play basketball matches every Saturday and sometimes on Sunday. 00:01:09
Yeah, it's great. And tell me a little bit about your teachers, because you have more than one, so tell me a little bit. 00:01:19
I have two main teachers, Marta and Susana. Marta is for language and math, and then Susana is for science and English. 00:01:29
And some subjects, you have special teachers for those. So, music, physical education, and religion or values, right? 00:01:38
yes exactly so there's a lot of different teachers in each year some of 00:01:48
the teachers change which is really exciting and do your classmates change 00:01:53
every year or do you stay with the same students no we switch every two years to 00:01:58
know more people and be more friendly yeah that's great yeah we also have 00:02:04
presentations here at Lepanto they are very important for English acquisition 00:02:12
so starting early on all of our students present on different topics so tell me 00:02:16
about your presentations and when you started so I started in presentations 00:02:22
when I was in third grade I think that is a very good idea because you can 00:02:29
practice English you can make it in a poster on a PowerPoint and that makes 00:02:37
you very creative yeah and and what are some of the topics that you've presented on in in the past 00:02:45
um i presented in my holidays horror movies fantasy creatures and about me and now what's 00:02:50
the next one uh bango oh exciting yes and uh we also have cultural week here each year 00:03:00
we just had it it was very fun for all the kids so tell me about cultural week 00:03:09
Every year we have the cultural week that we learn about some topics, for example this year we learned about the art. 00:03:14
Yeah, and we had parents come in who work at museums and present on different topics, we even got to paint a wall at the school this year, it was a good time. 00:03:29
Alright, last question César. What is your favorite event or activity at La Fonte? 00:03:42
So my favorite activity or event is the final party school year. 00:03:51
And we dance, then we can go to play and eat. 00:03:59
it's a good celebration for everybody at the at the end of the at the end of the 00:04:07
