Hello everybody, we are going to talk about one of the most famous battles in the British royal history, the Battle of Trafalgar. 00:00:01
The battle was started by the Old River League between France and Great Britain. 00:00:08
It was fought between France and Spain and the British fleet. 00:00:13
and the British fleet. It took place on 21 October 1805 during the Napoleonic War because 00:00:22
of Napoleon's ambition to dominate all of Europe. The British fleet was commanded by 00:00:30
Mayor Horatio Nolson with 27 ships and 17,000 crewmen and marines. And the combined fleet 00:00:35
of France and Spain was commanded by Clairviginia with 33 ships, 15 from Spain and 17 from France. 00:00:44
The British fleet was in a very poor condition and lacking the numerical superiority, but Nelson relied on the skills and experience of his soldiers. 00:00:52
The battle started when Nelson started attacking to the Franco-Spanish fleet in Cape Trafalgar. 00:01:02
Villeneuve ordered his fleet to form a single line while Nelson ordered his fleet to form two squadrons. 00:01:08
Luckily for the British fleet, the Franco-Spanish fleet was in a very vulnerable position to 00:01:14
manage, with a semi-secular formation. 00:01:21
France and Spain lost the battle. 00:01:22
The British navy, which was the weakest one, but BGNU designed a very bad strategy, so 00:01:23
the British won the battle with less persons and less votes. 00:01:32
It was a mistake that the French designed the strategy, because they had very very few 00:01:37
experiences and they wanted to have an excellent point. Franco-Spanish Navy had 00:01:42
huge number of deaths while the British Navy had very very few casualties. 00:01:47
Consequences. The consequences for France, United Kingdom and Spain were 00:01:54
different. The principal consequences for France was a hard strike to their 00:01:59
and they wanted to have a hard strike to De Mora, and they decided not to invade Great Britain 00:02:04
and impose commercial restrictions to other countries. They forbid trading with other countries. 00:02:15
Few time later, France increases De Mora, winning the Austerlitz battle, 00:02:23
battle and they celebrated it winning the arch of truth in paris 00:02:30
in the castle of united kingdom this battle was the beginning of of british superior superiority 00:02:38
in seas but it will end with the first world war 00:02:46
British people, which were masters in celebrating victories and holding defeats, 00:02:52
they built the Trafalgar Square in London. 00:02:59
In the case of Spain, it was a hard strike to deny. 00:03:04
Lost six boats, among them La Santísima Trinidad, which was the most important boat in the fleet. 00:03:10
But it wasn't the appropriate boat where was the place bought. 00:03:18
Bye and thank you for your attention. Bye bye. 00:03:23
