Okay, here we are again. So this recording is on the model podcast script. This is the 00:00:00
moment where you have already read the book, you have already written your notes about 00:00:10
the information that you're going to say in your podcast, and you now need to find a partner, 00:00:17
a colleague in class who's prepared to be the presenter of this podcast. That person 00:00:25
will only have to read the questions that I've provided for them. So you will see that 00:00:33
they can change these questions. It has to sound as natural as possible. So you can change 00:00:41
this if you like, and if you don't feel too inspired, then you can tell your partner, 00:00:47
the presenter to stick to the questions as I have laid them out here. So firstly, your 00:00:52
partner who's the presenter will say something along the lines of, hello gang, welcome to 00:00:59
Montserrat, Montsilly Book Club. This is the place where we celebrate books and reading 00:01:04
and libraries. And in today's episode, I'm joined by, and here is where you will either 00:01:10
use your avatar name if you'd like me to publish your podcast or your real name. If you use 00:01:16
your real name, I will not publish this work on a platform. And the presenter then has 00:01:20
to say, so what book are you going to talk about today? And then you present the information 00:01:28
that you had in your plan. Please, please, please don't read the text. Try to make it 00:01:37
sound like a conversation. Then your partner will say, so how did you come by this novel? 00:01:42
You then give the information on how you came by the novel. Remember that I said that I had seen 00:01:49
the film to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, for example. You can invent this. It doesn't 00:01:55
have to be the truth. And then the host will say, oh, interesting. So where does it take 00:01:59
place? And is there some kind of time reference? And that's your cue to be able to give the 00:02:05
information about the setting and the place. Then the presenter will say, and what's this 00:02:11
novel about? Something along those lines. And you will talk about the plot without spoiling, 00:02:17
no spoilers. And then the presenter will say, oh, OK, I see. So you must have a favourite moment. 00:02:24
And then that's your cue to be able to talk about what your favourite moment is and why 00:02:31
it's your favourite moment. The presenter will then ask you the following question. I can see 00:02:37
why you like it. So what's all? I can see why you don't like it, because it doesn't have to be a 00:02:43
positive review. So what's the main character like? Or how would you describe him or her? 00:02:48
And that's your cue to present that strong or the weak adjective and explain why this character has 00:02:55
that strong or weak adjective referring to the novel. The presenter will then ask you, 00:03:03
is there a particular age group you would recommend this novel to? And that's your cue, 00:03:09
again, to be able to explain who you would recommend the novel to and why. And finally, 00:03:14
the presenter will say something along the lines of, oh, well, we both agree that books change us. 00:03:20
And what did you learn from reading this novel? And that will be your cue to explain what you 00:03:27
learnt. And the next thing I do here is provide my model script so that I've prepared. But please, 00:03:33
even though you prepare this, try not to read it. If you practice this three or four times, 00:03:43
then the information will come naturally to you. Please try not to read it, because it does have 00:03:49
to sound like a podcast interview. And that's basically it. Please remember to look at the 00:03:57
rubric so that once you've recorded your audio, you can check that you have fulfilled the criteria 00:04:03
that I will be evaluating. Thank you. 00:04:11
