The author, Oscar Wilde. Oscar Wilde was an Irish author famous for his poetry, plays and children's stories. 00:00:02

In 1884 he married with Constance Lloyd. 00:00:21
They had two children, one in 1885 and other in 1886. 00:00:26
In 1884 he wrote The Happy Prince and other tales for his sons. 00:00:43
In 1895 Wilde was arrested and sent to prison for two years. 00:00:51
While he was in prison he wrote De Profundis and after his release The Ballad of Reading Jail which described the life in the prison, he spent the rest of his life wandering Europe. 00:00:58
