Hello, my dear students. We are going to present the unit of the economic sectors. So I'm going 00:00:00
to open my presentation, and I'll start. First of all, it is important to mention that there 00:00:28
are three economic sectors, which I have outlined here. The primary one, the secondary one, 00:00:35
and the tertiary one. Let's see. The primary sector is the one that involves all activities 00:00:42
that obtain basic resources directly from nature. It consists of three main activities, 00:00:52
agriculture, hunting and fishing, and forestry. Agriculture is the science or practice of 00:01:00
farming, including cultivation of the soil for the growing of crops, and the reading 00:01:07
of animals to provide food and other products. Hunting is the catching, or fishing, is the 00:01:13
catching of fish and other animals from seas, rivers, and lakes, while forestry is the science 00:01:19
or practice of planting, managing, and caring for forests. The secondary sector is the one 00:01:25
in which raw materials are transformed into manufactured products. There are three types 00:01:34
of industries, heavy, intermediate, and light. The heavy one processes raw materials. The 00:01:42
intermediate one produces goods that are then used to manufacture products, and the light 00:01:55
one involves finished goods directed at the consumer. Now, we are going to debate about 00:02:00
the following question, how and why which countries still pay up for climate damage. 00:02:08
Finally, we need to talk about the services sector. Services, or this sector, are services 00:02:14
provided to people or other sectors in order to satisfy a demand or a need. Now, there are public, 00:02:26
private, and mixed services. Public ones are run by public institutions in areas like administration, 00:02:36
security, or justice. The private one, or private services, are offered by companies or individuals, 00:02:43
and consumers pay for them. And finally, the mixed services are provided by a private company 00:02:51
working with the state. To conclude, we can say there are three sectors that define our economy. 00:02:59
It is important to identify and elaborate on the characteristics of each one. Thanks a lot 00:03:08
for listening. See you in our next class. Bye-bye. 00:03:15
