Thank you for watching our Heroes Connect vlog and today we're talking about jobs and what we all want to be. I want to be a doctor. Why? My uncle is a doctor and I visited him at the hospital. It was great. He looked after people and he made them feel better. I want to be a drummer in a band. 00:00:11
I love playing with drums and making lots of noise. 00:00:45
Yes, Charlie, we know. 00:00:49
What do you want to be, Emily? 00:00:52
I want to be a swimmer. I swam in an Olympic pool last year. It was amazing. 00:00:54
Well, I love taking photographs, so I want to be a photographer. 00:01:01
We know Sophie. That's where we all visited Jack's auntie yesterday. She's a photographer. 00:01:05
Yes, she's really talented. 00:01:11
I was really excited to meet her and ask her lots of questions about her job. 00:01:14
I made a video of our visit. Let's watch and see what we learnt. 00:01:19
When we arrived, we saw Jack's auntie finishing a photography shoot. 00:01:24
It was really fun. We watched her work with the model. 00:01:29
She took photographs from lots of different angles. 00:01:33
Then she showed us her camera. I took some photographs of Charlie. 00:01:37
I did lots of posing. 00:01:42
Wow. Did you take that photo too, Sophie? 00:01:44
No, I didn't. Your auntie took that photo. 00:01:48
Then Sophie asked the photographer lots of questions about her job. 00:01:53
Lots of questions. 00:01:58
How did you become a photographer? 00:02:01
At school, I was good at art. 00:02:03
When I finished school, I went to work with a design company and I bought my own camera. 00:02:06
What camera did you buy? 00:02:10
It was a film camera, but we don't often use film cameras today. 00:02:12
We usually use digital cameras. 00:02:16
Who do you work with? 00:02:19
I work on my own. I've got my own company. 00:02:21
What's your most unusual photo? 00:02:25
I think it's this one. 00:02:28
Wow, that's cool. 00:02:32
What do you like taking photographs of? 00:02:36
I enjoy taking photographs of people, but the thing I love most is taking photos of my pet dog, Archie. 00:02:38
Aww. 00:02:47
Can you give me some advice about being a photographer? 00:02:49
When I first started, I was scared about people not liking my work. 00:02:53
But the most important thing is that you like your photographs. 00:02:58
Thank you for answering our questions. 00:03:02
You're welcome. Now, shall I take some photos of you all? 00:03:05
Yes, please. 00:03:09
Jack's auntie took photos of us. It was really fun. 00:03:11
She gave us lots of clothes and wigs to wear. 00:03:15
My favourite photographs are of all of us together. 00:03:18
My auntie showed us how to edit photographs too. 00:03:22
You can do some really funny stuff with a computer. 00:03:25
It was a brilliant day. I learnt a lot about being a photographer. 00:03:30
Your photographs were really good, Sophie. 00:03:35
Thanks. I took lots more photographs this morning, too. 00:03:40
Well, while Sophie practices her photography, it's goodbye from us. 00:03:49
Yes, and see you next time. 00:03:55
Bye! 00:03:57
