Hello. So, we are going to do some speaking practice for Unit 5, How Can We Explore the Past? 00:00:01
Okay. So, this will be preparing you for your speaking exam that we will do. Okay. 00:00:09
So, first of all, we are going to review the vocabulary. So, I will say the word once and 00:00:17
you will say it once because we'll do it quickly because it's just a quick refresh. Okay. So, 00:00:24
Wood, street, field, pavement, flats, shopping centre, gate, motorway, path and farm. 00:00:31
OK, so now, like we've done in class, we are going to look at the picture. 00:00:58
And you have to tell me using there was a or there were some. 00:01:05
OK, looking at the arrow, remember the vocabulary of what each of these were. 00:01:14
And remember, when it's singular, there is a with was, was a. 00:01:21
And when it's plural, we use some. 00:01:30
So there were some. 00:01:33
So now look at each of these and can you tell me what is the sentence, okay? 00:01:36
So starting with this one, what is this? 00:01:44
And put the phrase together. 00:01:48
Now, can you do this one? 00:01:59
And now, what is this one? 00:02:15
So make the whole phrase. 00:02:20

So have a look at where the arrow is pointing 00:02:58
and have a look at what you think the object is 00:03:00
and say whether there wasn't a or there weren't some. 00:03:06

So that's a plural. 00:04:18

And the last one, there wasn't a pavement. 00:04:25

So, I know that can seem tricky, but if you remember the vocabulary, 00:04:33
whether they're plural or whether they're singular, 00:04:38
so make sure you study, review the vocabulary, 00:04:42
and you'll be absolutely fine. 00:04:46
