Hello there! People have dreamed of flying for centuries and it finally 00:00:00
happened in 1903 when the Wright brothers invented controlled flight and 00:00:07
flew 852 feet in 59 seconds. With the invention of the jet engine Chuck Yeager 00:00:11
flew faster than the speed of sound which is 750 miles per hour and that was 00:00:19
in 1947. Then NASA invented successful rockets that took John Glenn into orbit 00:00:24
around the earth in 1962 and Neil Armstrong to the moon in 1969. Right now 00:00:32
NASA astronauts are building the International Space Station 220 miles 00:00:41
above us. This is going to be the first permanently orbiting space hotel and 00:00:47
research facility. And guess what? Now NASA is building airplanes that fly like 00:00:51
birds. Imagine that! Fly like birds! I love it! 00:00:59
So in the spirit of good inventions I have invented my own flying machine 00:01:06
prototype and if it works I should be able to fly in relative ease from place 00:01:11
to place. So here we go! 00:01:15
