Here we have the parts of the heart. In this photo you can see two lines,

the pink one is the systemic circulation and the blue one is the pulmonary circulation.

So now we have the heart, the top and the bottom side.

In the top side we can see the left and the right atrium.

Now we take the laboratory clamp and we introduce it in the pulmonary artery that goes to the right ventricle, and we cut it.

As you can see, here we have the tricuspid valve.

Now we introduce the laboratory clamp in the aorta that goes to the left ventricle, and we cut it.

As you can see, here we have the mitral valve.

Now you can see that the aorta is connected with the left ventricle and the pulmonary artery is connected with the right ventricle.
