Salvador Viñera was born on the 23rd of November 1862 in Cádiz, Spain. 00:00:00
Why is he famous? He is famous because in 1890 he won a contest for a grant of merit in the Fine Arts Spanish Academy. 00:00:08
In 1891 he painted one of his most relevant works, The Big Compass, relative to Adán and Eve, called The First Kiss. 00:00:17
His works were replicated in society, which made him a very popular painter. He won many gold awards. Also, since his youth, he became fond of the sea, being his first famous work. 00:00:26
