The Romans occupied the Iberian Peninsula using the Roman law, religion and language.

In 411 A.C. the Roman Empire was weak and three Germanic tribes arrived and conquered different territories.

Romans weren't powerful enough to defeat the Germanic tribes, so they asked for help from the Visigoths, who arrived in 415.

Visigoths could defeat Vandals and Alanis, but Suebi stayed on the north.

With Visigoths, Toledo became the capital city of the kingdom, so they declared independence from the Roman Empire.

In 586, they defeated Suebi and Spain then out and controlled the whole territory.

In 711, the Muslims of the north of Africa arrived at the peninsula and defeated Visigoths on the famous Battle of Guadalete.
