In 2015, the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. 00:00:00
This agenda includes 17 goals that we as humankind, we should globally achieve in order to ensure 00:00:10
a better life for everyone and a sustainable development for the future. 00:00:18
Let me revise these 17 Sustainable Development Goals one by one. 00:00:25
Goal number one is to end poverty in all its forms everywhere. 00:00:34
Goal number two is to end hunger, to achieve food security for everybody. 00:00:40
Goal number three is to ensure healthy lives for everybody in the world. 00:00:46
Goal number four is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong 00:00:51
learning for everybody. 00:00:58
Goal number five is achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. 00:01:01
Goal number six is to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation 00:01:07
for all. 00:01:13
Goal number seven is to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for 00:01:15
all. 00:01:21
Goal number eight is to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, 00:01:22
full and productive employment and decent work for all. 00:01:28
Goal number nine is to build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization 00:01:32
and foster innovation. 00:01:39
Goal number 10 is reduce inequality among countries and into every country. 00:01:42
Goal number 11 is to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and 00:01:49
sustainable. 00:01:55
Goal number 12 is to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. 00:01:56
Goal number 13 is to take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. 00:02:03
Goal number 14 is to preserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources 00:02:09
for sustainable development. 00:02:17
Goal number 15 is to protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, 00:02:19
sustainably manage forests, combat desertification and halt and reverse land degradation. 00:02:26
Goal number 16 is to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, 00:02:36
provide justice for everyone and build effective, accountable institutions at all levels. 00:02:42
And goal number 17 is to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global 00:02:49
partnership for sustainable development. 00:02:55
In these years, all countries in the world have tried to promote these goals. 00:02:59
Some of them have been very, very promising and there has been a very interesting development 00:03:05
of them. 00:03:12
But in others, there is still a great effort to be done. 00:03:13
Only if we all cooperate and believe in them, we can make sure that they are real and they 00:03:17
become true in 2030, when they should be all achieved. 00:03:23
