Hello students from the For the Verso! This is going to be a goodbye video. I know that this

year went a little bit differently than maybe a lot of us anticipated originally, but that happens

sometimes in life. I would have really loved to have been able to say goodbye to you all in person,

but unfortunately, like I said, because of the situation we're in right now, that's not possible,

so I wanted to make a video just to say goodbye and reflect a bit on the year that we've shared

together because it has been, at least for me, a really impactful year. With all of you, with the

Forza Verso, I am incredibly grateful for the amount of time I've been able to spend with you

all in a class setting in a large group, but more than that in small groups, so in pairs. I have

been able to spend a lot of time with you all outside of the classroom practicing for the
00:00:53
English exams. And that has been, I hope useful, but more than useful. It's been something that
00:00:59
I've really appreciated because I feel like I've been able to have real conversations with you

about what you're thinking, what you value, what is important to you. And that has been
00:01:12
so clarifying for me. And it has been something that I have really, really enjoyed. Throughout

this year, in the time that we've spent getting to know each other and talking, I've been amazed

and impressed by not only your advanced English ability because you speak and understand English
00:01:30
beautifully, but I've been more impressed by your critical thinking and your interest in learning
00:01:37
about more than just your individual experience. I've had conversations with so many of you that
00:01:44
of impressed me to my core because you're thinking about a lot of things that I was not thinking
00:01:50
about when I was your age and I am so thankful to have met you all and to be living in a world
00:01:57
in which I know that you are growing up. I feel like I can rest easy knowing that you're out there

and you're going to enter the workforce and you're passionate about the things that you're
00:02:10
passionate about and you are educating yourselves and trying to make yourselves and your peers and
00:02:14
the world overall a better place. So I don't want to get too sappy. I don't want to get too mushy

here, but I am really, really thankful for the time that we've been able to spend together.

You've all really taught me so much. And like I've said so many times throughout this video,

I am so thankful and I'm really going to miss you all a lot. Unfortunately, I will not be coming

back to San Juan Bautista or to Madrid next year. I'm going to be moving back to Sacramento to be

a little bit closer to my family in California and while I'm excited to be closer to family

I'm also really really really gonna miss you all uh and so you know it's not all happy goodbyes

can be hard sometimes but I think it's really important that we say goodbye and it was really

important to me that I tell you all how much you mean to me and how much I'm gonna miss you I really

am. I want to, from the bottom of my heart, wish you all the best. I have the utmost faith that

you are going to really make changes in the world, that you're going to do good.
