Hi, this is a little video for my third of SO students. I just wanted to take this small 00:00:00
opportunity to say I guess farewell for the summer. I definitely miss not having the opportunity to 00:00:08
say goodbye in person, but even being able to talk to you guys for a short while over video 00:00:16
is something that I will definitely cherish. I just wanted to say thank you for this entire year. 00:00:23
You were all so welcoming and so attentive, so motivated, and just passionate about some of the 00:00:32
really challenging stuff that we were talking about this year. In the beginning, when I started 00:00:39
working on Global Classrooms and even just thinking about like what material we would have 00:00:46
to discuss, how much we had to go over, um, and all of the things that were on our plate. I was 00:00:50
definitely overwhelmed. I didn't really know you guys that well, and I wasn't sure, like, how in 00:00:57
the world are we gonna do this? Um, but day after day, you guys stunned me with how intelligent you 00:01:04
were, with how focused you were, with how willing you were to just, like, sit down and really listen 00:01:12
to all of the complicated material and digest it, just really process it, and make sure that you 00:01:18
really knew what was going on. You guys caught on to the vocabulary super quickly, and it was such 00:01:27
a joy and privilege to see you guys come into your own as Global Classrooms delegates, to see you 00:01:33
be so confident in sharing your opinions with one another, even if someone disagreed with you, 00:01:40
to see you hold your own, and to see you ask questions that were so well thought out, that 00:01:48
were so organized, to see you guys really develop opinions and stand on your own as students was 00:01:54
such a joy. I am really, really thankful for it, and honestly, Global Classrooms was absolutely 00:02:02
one of my highlights this year. I wish you all the best summer with your families, hopefully, 00:02:08
I wish you all health and happiness and safety throughout this summer. I hope that you're able to 00:02:18
enjoy some of the smaller freedoms that we have now 00:02:24
and I absolutely look forward to seeing you guys as fourth of SO students next year. Until then, bye! 00:02:28
