We're going to learn how to use the material, the workshop material, for circuits, electric circuits, 00:00:01
which consists mainly in a polymeter, which will let us to measure voltage and current and also resistance, 00:00:14
and the protoboard which let us to mounting the circuits on it without cables 00:00:28
and you can dismounting the circuit also, so is a good idea to prove and testing your circuits before using it 00:00:38
A protoboard, as you can see, there are different sizes, but all of them has three main parts, or two main parts, because they are always divided in the middle and they are symmetric. 00:00:48
So, in one side of this protoboard you can see some tracks that are connected in horizontal 00:01:13
and the rest of the tracks which are connected in vertical. 00:01:30
We cannot see this but they have a metallic connection and this means that if you connect an element in the lines they are connected. 00:01:36
So you should be very careful because if you make a mistake, the circuits will not work properly. And it is very important. 00:01:59
For example, you can see how you can connect three resistors in series using the division that the protoboard has in the middle. 00:02:16
And as you can see, the resistances are connected in the holes which are in horizontal, not in vertical position. 00:02:36
In this other photo you also can see other series connections. 00:02:52
In this case, we haven't used the division in the middle of the protoboard. 00:03:00
Apart from testing the circuit and its probability of working, 00:03:12
we also need to measure the electrical magnitudes in order to design well our circuits. 00:03:24
And for measures we usually use the polymeter. 00:03:37
This is a very typical polymeter in which you can see its part. 00:03:42
It would usually have a switch to switch it on or switch it off, but it also has a display and ports. And also have a switch which can turn and let you select what you are going to do. 00:03:49
Be careful to connect the pores well, when you connect the pores well, because they are different if you want to measure resistance or to measure current or different kind of current. 00:04:16
It is possible to measure direct currents and also other kinds of currents, not just only direct currents, you can also measure the alternative current. 00:04:42
To measure a resistance you should connect the pores correctly, turn the selector switch 00:05:08
to resistance zone and connect to the resistance and then turn the switch from the highest 00:05:27
violent to the smallest one too. This let us found the best scale for our measure. 00:05:36
And finally measure. To use your polymer to measure voltage as a voltimeter you 00:05:45
you need to... you should connect the ports correctly, turn the selector switch on 00:05:57
voltage zone connect your polymer very very important this one in parallel which means that 00:06:06
you needn't dismount anything turn the switch from the highest value to the smaller one 00:06:15
to select the better scale and then measure the voltage and finally if you want to to measure 00:06:26
current, what means use your polymeter as a perimeter, you need to connect the part 00:06:36
correctly, turn the selection switch to the correct zone and connect your 00:06:46
polymet in series with the element you want to measure. It means that you 00:06:54
has to dismount to insert your your impairment in the in the circuit it's 00:07:05
very important this you should insert the polymeter in this the the polymeter 00:07:16
as an perimeter in your circuit then when the switch from the highest value 00:07:24
to the smaller one and finally measure the 00:07:31
the current value and now the most important thing put all of 00:07:36
this into practice 00:07:44
