Good morning, Year 3. Happy New Year, and I hope you all had a great Christmas. 00:00:04
So today we are going to do the speaking practice of Unit 4, What Makes a Hero? 00:00:10
OK, so here we have 10 activities, so I will read through them first. 00:00:17
OK, one, write stories. Two, tell jokes. Three, draw pictures. Four, solve problems. Five, climb ropes. Six, tidy up. 00:00:26
Seven, work in groups. Eight, use your imagination. Nine, find information. And ten, read maps. 00:00:45
So now I want to ask you, what are you good at? 00:00:58
For example, I am good at climbing ropes and I am good at working in groups. 00:01:04
So remember to use the I-N-G. OK. So now can you tell me two or three activities that you are good at? 00:01:18
Good. Great. Perfect. So now we are going to go on to the next slide and we are going to look at what are they good at? 00:01:34
OK, so remember, you can go back to the slide before so you can see what the words are and also the pictures as well. 00:02:06
So, for example, if this boy here has a pencil and some paper, what could he be good at? 00:02:17
Remember to start your sentence with he is good at. 00:02:30
So, did you say he is good at drawing? 00:02:44
If so, great. 00:02:50
Now, we are going to look at her. And she is holding, if you remember from the slide before, she is holding a map. 00:02:51
So, can you tell me, what is she good at? Good. The answer is, she is good at reading maps. Great. 00:03:07
Now, we have this girl in purple. She is making the boy in blue laugh. So, what could she be good at? 00:03:25
Did you say she is good at telling jokes? Great. 00:03:50
Now, we are going to look at these heroes that are here on the right. 00:03:56
Using the superlative, we are going to make sentences. 00:04:04
For example, you can see here, number one, she is the bravest. 00:04:10
So now, can you make a sentence with number two, strong, good. 00:04:18
He is the strongest. 00:04:32
Now we're going to do it with number three, great. 00:04:36
She is the cleverest. 00:04:48
Number four, funny, good. 00:04:52
remembering the est ending. Great. He is the funniest. Number five. What is she? Yes, she 00:05:01
is the fittest. And remember when there's only three, you add an extra t. And now lastly, 00:05:25
number six great work he is the kindest great work and remember you can watch this back 00:05:37
