When you begin your testing session, you will first see this screen. 00:00:00
You will need to log in before each test with your username, password, and session ID. 00:00:09
The system has different parts that you will need to understand to take your test. 00:00:20
The screens may be different for each section of the test. 00:00:28
Let's look at each part of the screen. 00:00:32
Important information and tools are located at the top of the screen, including the title of the test section you are taking. 00:00:34
Below the title, you will see what question you are currently working on out of how many total questions there are in the section. 00:00:47
The timer shows you how much time you have to answer the questions in the section. 00:01:04
If you wish, you may hide the timer by clicking on the X. 00:01:10
To unhide it, click on the clock. 00:01:17
Each section of the test will start with a set of directions. 00:01:23
The directions will contain specific information 00:01:30
on how to answer questions for that section of the test. 00:01:33
The reading section will have many passages. 00:01:41
The passage indicator at the top of the test screen will show you which passage you are reading. 00:01:44
To scroll through a passage, use the scroll bar to the right of the passage. 00:01:56
In long passages, the Next button will not activate until you have scrolled to the bottom of the passage. 00:02:05
For the Reading section, the passage will be on the left side of the screen. 00:02:13
The question window will be to the right of the passage. 00:02:23
To answer a reading question, first read the passage. 00:02:31
Then answer the questions on the right about the passage. 00:02:36
Most questions will ask you to select one answer from four choices based on what you read. 00:02:43
If you decide to change your answer, click on a different answer choice. 00:02:50
In the test, you will click on the Next button to go to the next question. 00:02:58
Another question type will ask you to insert a sentence into a passage. 00:03:09
Clicking the box with a plus in the passage adds the sentence into the passage. 00:03:17
After you have clicked on the Plus button, the passage will look like the screen below. 00:03:26
Another type of question will ask you to choose the best answer based on a highlighted word or sentence in a passage. 00:03:35
Another question type will ask you to read the question and then click on one of the words or sentences from a highlighted section in the passage. 00:03:44
When you make your selection in the passage, that word or sentence will be highlighted in black. 00:03:58
The Your Choice box will be filled with what you have selected. 00:04:11
If you want to review your answer later, you can click the Mark for Review button. 00:04:18
To review the items that you have marked for review, click on the Review button in the top right corner. 00:04:27
You will also be able to review your answers after you have gone through all of the passages and questions. 00:04:34
The Review screen will show all of your answers. 00:04:49
Questions you answered will have a green checkmark. 00:04:53
Questions not answered will have an exclamation mark. 00:04:59
Questions you marked for review will have a flag. 00:05:06
Click the Go button to return to that question. 00:05:08
The listening section of the test requires a headset to listen to test information and instructions. 00:05:18
A headset icon will appear on the screen when you need to use your headset to hear audio or speak into your microphone. 00:05:26
To adjust the volume at any time during a test, click the volume button. 00:05:41
A window pops up and allows you to drag the bar to the right or left to adjust the volume. 00:05:46
Close the volume window by clicking on the X at the top right corner. 00:05:59
The listening directions tell you what is on the test in the listening section. 00:06:07

After listening, you will answer questions about what you heard. 00:06:19
The Listening section uses audio tracks and pictures to provide the information you need to answer questions. 00:06:23
A Progress bar will show how much of the question's audio track has played. 00:06:36
