Public spaces are regulated by legal rules, and these legal rules are made with a purpose, 00:00:01

A value is something important, something that we appreciate. 00:00:19
And we call ethical values those important things that are connected with our interaction with other people. 00:00:23
So, ethical values are the things that we consider important, valuable in our interaction with others, such as freedom, respect, equality, solidarity, or justice. 00:00:30
The law should make sure that everybody respects these very important values in our society. 00:00:46
sometimes ethical values are also called civic values because they are the important things 00:00:54
that citizens should respect a citizen as you know is a free and responsible member of society 00:01:02
citizens have rights but they also have duties in order to make sure that citizens rights are 00:01:10
always respected, we should all practice civic virtues. 00:01:20
Civic virtues are positive habits that are connected with citizenship, 00:01:25

But, citizens also have duties, not only rights, so we could also talk about our civic duties, 00:01:50

As free and responsible members of society, we should, for example, help other people 00:02:03
that need support, that is a civic duty, and we should also pay our taxes, because this 00:02:09
This money is needed to provide for public services that benefit everybody. 00:02:15
