If I ask you this question, you might answer telling me the kind of things you like, what 00:00:02
you do, or what your physical aspect looks like. 00:00:07
Now, this is what we call your personal identity, those features that make you unique, that 00:00:11
make you different from everybody else. 00:00:18
Now, your personal identity distinguishes you from all the other people, but is it something 00:00:21

In part it is, because you decide what you do, you change your habits, and you make your 00:00:31
personality with time, but in part it is something that you cannot change, you cannot choose 00:00:39
your physical aspect or the features of your face, those are things you were born with. 00:00:47
So personality, that is, your way of being, has two parts. 00:00:54
One of them is called temperament, the other part is called character. 00:01:01
Temperament is genetic, it is based on biology, it is coded in your genes, in your DNA, and 00:01:07
you have it since your birth, so you cannot change it. 00:01:14
For example, the basic aspect of your body, or the color of your eyes, are part of these 00:01:18

So it is quite important to think what kind of person you want to become in order to change 00:01:41
