Not so long ago, from June 2nd till June 5th, there has been a bank holiday celebrated on Great Britain due to the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. 00:00:09
There have been similar celebrations for the Queen's 80th birthday and for the Diamond Jubilee of 2012, and also royal weddings have attracted great public interest in the recent decades, starting with the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana on 1981. 00:00:19
Queen Elizabeth's jubilees have helped the national identity and unity on Great Britain to roll sharply throughout the last years and decades. 00:00:35
The British people started loving jubilees back in the 19th century when Queen Victoria celebrated her golden and diamond jubilees. 00:00:44
But after 1977, when the present Queen celebrated her silver jubilee, they started becoming real popular. 00:00:52
For this jubilee specifically, the Queen decided to travel throughout the whole country. 00:01:00
Due to her age, the British are already acknowledging the idea that she'll soon depart from this world 00:01:05
