Your computer is already connected to a server,

which is a computer that handles jobs like connecting you to locations on the Internet.

Every location has an address, just like your home.

When you click the KSNN link, your computer sends that address to the server.

The server recognizes that you want to connect to that address.

The server sends a packet of information as an electrical signal

with the address out to a network of servers around the world,
